Please Pray

Hey all!

Today, well more like tonight, we leave for Ohio so that Mom and Dad can candidate for the job. Would y'all please pray for me, becuz for like a week, even before I started taking my meds for my Acid Reflex, I have been getting a queasy/crampy stomach. Today, we weren't sure if I should take my medicine, so I had to wait for like three hours after I got up, while MOm called the Dr. then we had to wait 'til they called us back to tell us I should take the medicine.
So, then after taking the meds, I had to wait another half hour before I could eat! Then, as soon as I started eating, I instantly got cramps, like five, ten minutes after I first ate. Strange, huh?

I really don't want to have to deal with all of my stomach issues on this trip, so would y'all mind praying that God will bless me with a stomach-problem-free weekend? Thank you! Updates to come once we get back on Sunday. Have an awesome, wonderful, godly weekend, my friends!!!!! :)

Interview with Mackenzie Grace Clark from "A New Song" {Inside Scoop}

[yes, i (Amanda) am using Anna Popplewell for my character, Mackenzie.]


Amanda (interviewer): Mackenzie, welcome! Thanks so much for taking the time for some questions.

Mackenzie: Thank you for having me. Its a pleasure to be here.

Amanda: Tell us a bit about yourself. How old you are, about your family, where you live? etc.

Mackenzie: My name is Mackenzie Clark, and I am the piano player for the southern gospel trio, A New Song. I am 16-years-old, and I have a wonderful family who I am very close to. I have an older brother, Matthew, but everyone calls him Matt. He is 18, and the lead singer for A New Song. He also plays the guitar for us, too. Then I have a younger sister by five years, and her name is Anna. She's a sweetie, so supportive, and a blast to be around. My parents are Mary and David Clark, and they support my decision to be a singer 100%. I live in a tiny little town in Iowa, called Princeton.

Amanda: So, when did you first start singing?

Mackenzie: I have been "singing" my whole life, but the beginning of being a part of an actual group was at the Iowa State Fair this year. We won the competition, and then got to go to Houston, Texas, and peform at the Hamilton Hotel there.

Amanda: While there in Houston, your brother was killed. How have you been coping with all of that?

Mackenzie: Its been really tough, really tough. But I know I will see him again in Heaven one day, and that's definitley a great comfort!

Amanda: How do you like being on the road every weekend? Does your family go with you?

Mackenzie: I'm glad we're only traveling on the weekends, for now! But once I graduate from high school, we'll be traveling full-time. And yes, my family does come along with us, but they won't be able to once we go 24/7.

Amanda: Have you written any of the songs for your group, or is that just Chandler's area?

Mackenzie: It was Matt's area, actually, until he died. Then Chandler took over with that, but we also sing other songs written by other people, too.

Amanda: Do you have a favorite song?

Mackenzie: Hmmm, well, it would probably have to be "I Have a Hope" by Greater Vision. I love that song!

Amanda: The release of A New Song's first CD was last week. Tell us how you felt when you knew it was finally in stores.

Mackenzie: I was, like, jumping up and down! I was sad that Matt hadn't been able to be a part of it, but Anna, my younger sister, has now taken his place as the guitar player in the group, so that was nice to have her be in on the project.

Amanda: Do you ever get recognized by fans or anything?

Mackenzie: Not really. I mean, I live in this tiny little town where really everybody knows me and my family, so its not strange or different for them. But when I go and travel to different places, sometimes people come up to me and want my autograph and stuff. Its really different, but its a good different, if that makes sense.

Amanda: Mackenzie, thanks again for taking time out of your busy schedule to come and talk with me. Have a great day!

When we (Me, Matt, & Chandler) won the singing contest at the Iowa State Fair!!!! Everyone was cheering for us, and our families were so proud of us.

I'm big into fashion (but not as much as Anna, who's an all-out girly-girl!) Um, when I'm going out in public, well, it depends on my mood. But I LOVE wearing skirts/dresses. When I'm at home, its jeans and t-shirts for this girl!
Some things you’re not very good at

Getting along with Chandler, my brother's best friend. Playing the guitar! Always keeping a smile on my face, especially when I'm really tired of being on the road. Talking in interviews... I always feel so silly, and not really myself.
How would your best friend describe how you look?

Gabby is such a sweetie. She never finds anything wrong with anybody, just like Anna. But um, she would be sure to say I have pretty, long dark hair, and sparkling blue eyes. Oh! She would definitley never forget to say that I happen to be the shortest kid in our sophmore class, and that Anna is about to pass me up.
What irritates you
When the media blows things out of proportion. Wow, that gets old after awhile!!!! :(

What are you afraid of

Something terrible happening to my family back home while we (me, Matt & Chandler) are traveling, and not being able to be there with them.


About your family

I have two wonderful parents who have supported my dream of being a singer ever since I was little. I have an older brother, Matt, who is two years older than me, and a younger sister, Anna, who is five years younger than me. We are all really close.

What does your bedroom look like

Its sometimes really messy, like after I've just gotten home from being on the road. But when I'm at home, and everything is normal, then I'm a very neat and tidy person.

The walls are painted a light yellow, becuz that is my favorite color.
What do your think of yourself when you look in the mirror

I'm happy the way God has made me.

Most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you

Well, let's see. Oh, when I forgot the words to my song, (a solo, mind you) at last year's Christmas concert. I was soo humiliated!!! Ugh, I hate talking about it.
What do you really, REALLY want more than anything else in the world

For people's lives to be changed through A New Song, the southern gospel group I am in with Matt & Chandler.

I can not wait for the Royal Wedding of Prince William & Kate. I was watching the Today show the other day, like last week, and ohmygoodness ohmygoodness, I am soooo jealous!!! They (the ppl on the Today Show) had this video contest, dont know the details, but this girl, and her sister, and her mother - ALL GET TO GO TO ENGLAND THE WEEK OF THE ROYAL WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!! And of course they get to attend the Royal Wedding! I was like, "What?!?!??! Why can't something like that happen to me!?!?!?!?" Not that I'm complaining or anything. I'm just reallllly jealous! (if ya cant tell.) Oh, and that girl's trip - ALL EXPENSES PAID.

We have finally sold our vending business we've had for like five or six years. The guy is actually here right now talking to my parents. EEEK, so happyhappy!!! :)

Our Mozilla Firefox thing is messed up, so we have to use Internet Explorer. I.E.: I dont like you. Just thot I'd let ya know!

I'm so pumped for spring! It can't come fast enuff.

Shawn Johnson (2008 Olympic Gold Medal Gymnast) got her wisdom teeth pulled out ... yesterday? I think. I feel for her, cuz I have to get mine pulled in a month or two. I LOATHE surgeries. Like, I shudder at the word. Ugh.

I know, two posts in one day! LOL
Hey, wanna know what R.N.D. means? It stands for "Happy Red Nose Day!" which is today. :)
Red Nose Day has something to do with comic relief to raise money for charity I think, or something, but don't quote me on that, cuz I'm not sure. I do know it has something to do with comic relief (like Edmund in "Prince Caspian" at the train station. LOL) So yeps!!!

Me {part 2} + Confessions!

Hey all!

Just got back from the Doc, and everything is fine. I just have Acid Reflex, from when I was sick on my bday two months ago. I have to take this medicine for two months, and hopefully it will take away the gas and stuff. :D

Now, for the confessions. Yep, I'm hooked on these. They're just SO MUCH FUN! You should try 'em.

-I hate hearing, "Manda, please come do the dishes," but once I get my hands in the water, I have a blast!

-I am addicted to Nutter Butters. Okay, so at camp this past summer, I went with some friends to Wal-Mart on the weekend and bought this package of Nutter Butters. I ate the whole package by myself. Yeps. They were sooooo yummy. :P

-I miss my friends: Mackenna, Bethany, Celeste and Phil!!! I badly want to give each of them hugs!

-Being in limbo land right now with the moving situation is the pits. Ack.

-I am wearing capris and a t-shirt right now becuz its THAT warm out. I love it.

-I love Georgie Laura Henley WAY.TOO.MUCH. <3

- I am not the type of girl who will die if she goes out in public WITHOUT makeup. *gasp* Actually, I spend most of my time WITHOUT makeup. *double gasp*

-I am wearing red nail polish right now, but either need to take it off, or touch it up. Its looking sorta... dull.

-I spend too much time on the computer, and should take a break. Actually, I am going to take a break soon. Well, at least I'm gonna try. Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

-I am very ticklish. :D

-Okay, I must go now, becuz here's another confession: I fell asleep earlier today with my dog, Jingles, on the couch, and haven't touched school yet. I know, bad me. OKay, must run!!!!

Hi all!!!

Okay, just to let y'all know, for the past few months, I have been having a lot of gas, so I've been burping literally ALL THE TIME. Its driving me crazy with annoyance, but just last night, and this afternoon, the gas seemed to be choking me almost, or something. It was pretty scary, and I also had a queasy stomach. I don't know what's going on, but tomorrow I have a Dr. appt. to see if the Dr. can figure out what might be wrong with me!
So, I would LOVE the prayers! That nothing is seriously wrong with me or anything. Thanks alot!!! ta ta

I LOVE,

the movie "Where the Red Fern Grows", the 1974 version, with that blonde kid from "Seven Alone." It is one of the bestest movies E.V.E.R. The fam has had the movie since I was really little, and when I was younger, I must admit, I thought the boy was cute. ;) But not really anymore, just sayin. LOL
I was really sad, becuz we had gotten rid of the VCR version we had, becuz our VCR player was like eating up the tapes, so we got rid of most of our VCR's.
Well, then on Friday I went to Wal-Mart with Mom, Megan and Andrew, looking for glasses for Megan. (her first pair, and I must say they make her look adorable!!!!)  And as we were going to the Self-Check thing (I love those Self-Checks sooo much!) Andrew spotted "Where the Red Fern Grows" IN.THE.DVD.VERSION!!!! I was like, "Mom - we HAVE to get this movie! C'mon, its only five bucks!" (it really was.) so we got it, and now we're watching it after having roast pork and cheesy pototates for supper. So yep!!! ttul

Actress: AnnaSophia Robb

Just recently, I have fallen in love with AnnaSophia Robb. She has a wonderful sense of style, and is just soo cute! I am not sure if she is a Christian, but when she was younger, (I found this on IMBd) it said she attended a Christian school in her hometown of Denver, CO. So, I'm wondering if she might possibly come from a Christian background! Wouldn't that be really cool if she was?!?!?!?!? :) Okay, onto the pictures!!!

The dress is too short and tight, but I LOVE the jean jacket, her heels, and her hair!

I love this dress! IT looks really good on AnnaSophia, and the color looks good on her, too.

I would totally totally wear this dress! It is soo modest, the color is amazing, and AnnaSophia looks just goregous! This is at the premiere for "Race to Witch Mountain" a movie I have yet to see, and I'm absolutely dying to!!!! Anyone wanna watch it with me!?!?! :)

Today, the weather was amazing! In like the 50's, sunny, and with just a hint of a chill. And its only a week till Spring is officially here!!!! Hurray!!!

I worked mainly on school today while my siblings helped Mom and Dad pack up stuff and run errands. Mom gave us the choice of either packing or doing school - I obviously picked doing school over packing. Packing.... yuk!!!!!

Hey everbody!!!!

What's up? Today, well, is Saturday. I.love.Saturdays. They are the best! I love sleeping in, hanging out at home with the fam, occasionally going shopping..... and sitting in the rocking chair working on "A New Song" on Pixie. So much fun!!! :D

So a few days ago, I got these AMAZING heels! Two pairs in fact, for ten bucks each. One is a gray suede pair, the other are/is brown (what's the right way to say that?!?!!?) at Kmart, and I am a very very *happy* person! I wore the gray pair last night with a turquoise colored "peasant" looking shirt, 3/quarter length sleeves, a really cool, colorful scarf, and jeans, to my school's middle school play!!!!! So yeps!!! I shall be posting about my new heels, OH AND MY FLIPPIN AWESOME RED NAIL POLISH very very soon! Promise.

Hey all!

Today, well er, yesterday, I got my Netbook Pixie fixed! Finally! I hadn't been able to get my Netbook for months and months, since like last year, becuz I had forgotten my password!! :) So I finally brought it to a friend's husband and he was able to fix it!!!! And, even better, all of my stuff, like pix and stories and all that, were still on there! They hadn't been erased. So yeps. ttul

Prayer Requests

Hey, I just have some prayer requests I thought I'd put up here.

1. My sister, Megan, with her headaches. Praise the Lord, she had none yesterday, but literally three seconds after Mom just got done praising God that Megan hadn't been having any headaches, my sister instantly got one!! So we've pretty much learned not to say the "H" word (headache), becuz alot of times when we have said that word in her hearing range, she seems to instantly get one. And, I know my sister isn't faking it, either that or she's the world's best actress!!!!!! :D

2. My friend Celeste gets her wisdom teeth pulled out today, sometime. Not sure when. I had written her a letter awhile ago, and she wrote me back and told me. :)

3. With our move situation. Its all pretty complicated, and I don't even understand all of it, but we might not be, if that IS the place God wants us to go, be moving to Toledo this April. We might end up getting there mid-late summer! And before this happens, we would be renting a place somwhere close to where Dad works, so he doesn't have to drive an hour to and from work anymore. Ahhhhh!!! The crazyness of life. ;)

4. That I will continue to do my devos and grow closer to God. That I won't put so many worldly, materialistic things before Him.
